.What you can expect

We’ll start by strolling through Bucharest’s oldest part – the city center, where most of the famous monuments are.
Then we will hop on a bus or take the metro to one of the many so-called dormitory neighborhoods. There’s a wide variety to choose from – no slum tourism, though – and plenty to explore and discuss once we get there. I will gladly walk & talk you through the neighborhood’s streets and particular arquitecture, or we can visit the local park and discuss Romania’s social past and present while sunbathing. I can also take you to a lowbrow neighborhood café where we can mingle with the locals.

We can then continue our urban exploration by going to the posh side of the city and examine “the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie”. We might even visit a gorgeous Romanian modern art collection if you feel like it.

Of course we will stop for lunch in one of my favourite restaurants and we can also take our coffee and dessert in one of the best spots in town (no spoilers!).

Then I can either lead you to your hotel or recommend a nice place for you to continue your evening in Bucharest, be it a contemporary dance performance or a good restaurant.
