Yesterday it was the Orthodox Easter Sunday and I’ve been with my mom, just the two of us. This was totally different this year as we usually have an Easter family getaway…but I felt happy and grateful to just be able to stay with my mom this time.

This was our little Easter Sunday table, with all essential Romanian Easter traditional foods as always prepared by my mom – roast leg of lamb (a centerpiece of any Easter table in Romania), the ‘drob’ (Easter delicacy prepared from the lamb’s organs, with plenty of green onion and dill) and of course the painted eggs, all accompanied by fresh spring greens.
