I feel very fortunate to have spent a week in Romania with Cristina as my guide and driver. I felt safe and I was delighted to experience the country she holds such passion for. Cristina is incredibly knowledgeable in the history and culture of the region. She also shared stories her own personal life, being born and living during the communist control. She is extremely organized and planned my trip to include the important national sites and some current interesting sites, like a local auction house and the home/museum of the artist Muzeul Theodor Aman. We spent four days in Transylvania and the Carpathian mountains. I thoroughly enjoyed the day we took the cable car on Fagaras to reach Balea lac. We walked on the frozen lake and visited the ice hotel. Cristina planned our meals in delightful and delicious local restaurants. All accommodations were clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to returning to Romania with my son in the future.
