Emblematic image of Bucharest’s Old Town: the popular Caru’ cu Bere (“Beer Cart”) restaurant with the iconic Savings Bank Palace in the background. The Old Town is the historical core of the city, which in recent years became the fashionable entertainment district, home to trendy nightclubs, pavement cafés, restaurants, pubs and a number of venues. Heritage buildings and old churches add to the charm of the area.
